A Manifesto for Founders

Entrepreneurs—especially women—face impossible expectations.

Build a successful business. Be the expert. Show up perfectly. Never admit struggle. Smile through the burnout.

Pick a niche and never change. Be consistent. Commit to one path. Don't pivot—that's quitting.

Meanwhile, we're managing life, caring for others, trying to help people with our gifts, and slowly disappearing under the weight of it all.

We default to autopilot.

Overbooked calendars. Never-ending to-do lists. People-pleasing in our businesses. Saying yes when we mean no. Building what we think we "should" build instead of what actually fits.

We're taught this is just "entrepreneurship." So when we struggle, we convince ourselves we're not disciplined enough. Not committed enough. Not good enough.

We abandon ourselves to survive and succeed.

We silence our intuition. Ignore our needs. Force ourselves into systems designed for different brains. Follow formulas that suffocate who we actually are.

Over time, this way of living results in burnout - a state of physical, mental, and emotional exhaustion. We lose our passion. Our purpose. Ourselves.

Entrepreneurs deserve better.

We deserve to be reminded that we have the power to pivot - to make decisions that align with our values, honor our energy, and build businesses that actually fit who we are.

We deserve to slow down, to heal, to rediscover ourselves.

To reclaim our time. Protect our energy. Prioritize our well-being—not as a luxury, but as a requirement.

We deserve safe spaces to remove our masks, to share the real struggles of entrepreneurship, to admit we're lonely, scared, or stuck—without judgment.

We deserve permission to change our minds. To pivot our business models, our niches, our approaches, our entire direction—as many times as we need.

We deserve to know that pivoting isn't failure. It's listening. It's living.

We deserve to build businesses that evolve with us, not trap us. To succeed without abandoning ourselves in the process.

We deserve community. Support. Tools that actually work for neurodivergent, creative, introverted brains.

We deserve to be told: You're good enough exactly as you are. Your way is valid. You don't have to fit the formula.

Permission to Pivot is a movement.

Ignited by the systemic failure of traditional business advice to account for the full humanity of entrepreneurs—especially those who are neurodivergent, creative, caregivers, helpers, introverts.

Fueled by the belief that entrepreneurship should be fluid, not rigid. Living, not dying.

We believe Permission to Pivot has the potential to not only help thousands of entrepreneurs heal and rebuild, but to collectively shake up the narrative around what "success" actually means and revolutionize the way we build businesses for generations to come.

This is for entrepreneurs who:

  • Have lost themselves building what they thought they "should" build

  • Are burned out from trying to fit systems that don't fit their brains

  • Feel lonely even when they're "successful"

  • Are told they're "inconsistent" when they're actually just evolving

  • Want to help people with their gifts but feel paralyzed by fear

  • Are tired of business advice designed for extroverts, neurotypicals, and people without lives outside their businesses

  • Are ready to move forward—on their own terms, in their own way, with support from people who actually get it

Burnout is a pivot signal.

Your body is telling you: something needs to change.

Maybe it's your business model.
Maybe it's your boundaries.
Maybe it's your mindset.
Maybe it's who you're serving.
Maybe it's how you're showing up.
Maybe it's all of it.

You're not broken. You're being given information.

Permission to pivot means:

✓ You're allowed to change your mind
✓ You're allowed to do it differently
✓ You're allowed to build a business that evolves with you
✓ You're allowed to succeed without abandoning yourself
✓ You're allowed to move forward—even with fear
✓ You're allowed to need support
✓ You're allowed to be human while building

As many times as you need.

This is Permission to Pivot.

Not just a community. A movement.

For entrepreneurs who refuse to keep abandoning themselves.

For humans who are building businesses while also living lives.

For the neurodivergent, the creative, the introverted, the multi-passionate, the helpers, the caregivers, the ones who've been told they're "too much" or "not enough."

You're allowed to pivot.

Let's do it together.

About Coach Courtney

Meet Courtney, a powerful advocate for women’s empowerment and lifestyle transformation! Her journey to becoming the incredible coach she is today wasn't without its challenges. At just 22, she found herself in the depths of despair, faced with a life altering choice, one that not only brought to light the dangers of the lifestyle she was living but the shame, bitterness, and rage that had taken up residency in her heart.

Rather than allowing her shame, bitterness, and anger towards herself consume her fully, she confronted them with unwavering courage. With a fire ignited by the mantra "Choose YOU!", she took on the world—not with a calming cup of herbal tea, but through an adventurous journey across the country. It was less about luxurious retreats and more about a rollicking road trip filled with exploration, writing, and self-discovery.

With that light, came an inner voice that whispered "ChooseYOU", and she listened! Ladies, let me tell you, this wasn't some fancy evening at a spa where she sipped herbal tea and meditated. No! Courtney hit the pages of her journal, systematically dismantling the life she had been living and giving herself permission to design a new one through her choices.

This was less "Eat, Pray, Love," and more "Burn it all down, Write, and Discover!" But while many of us might have gotten lost at a roadside diner, Courtney was sharp. She figured out that every time she chose herself, she was never led astray. That girl is a literal superhero with a cape made of self-love!

Now, for over 20 years, she's been practicing the Choose YOU lifestyle-twisting, turning, and occasionally taking a detour when she didn't listen to that inner voice.
